‘Coveted’ doesn’t begin to describe tickets to Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions. For people really plugged into London’s music scene, they are easily the hottest ticket of the year.
Over 10 musically eclectic nights, big names join new talent (and the occasional surprise megastar) to play sell-out acoustic shows to an audience of 650 people in the incredibly intimate setting of Islington’s Union Chapel.
Mencap and Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley have been hard at work putting this year’s line-up together and, as always, they’re promising a few surprises in addition to what’s already on the bill.
With previous ‘secret’ performances from The Killers, U2 and Chris Martin, it’s anyone’s guess who will rock up unannounced this year.

Tickets go on sale today for Our friends acoustic - a one-night only celebration organised by learning disability charity Mencap. Music heroes from the best of Britain’s golden age of pop and rock are coming together to host the mother of all reunions at London’s indigO2 at The O2 on 13 May 2010.
Forget the shoulder-padded sequin jackets and over-crimped, over-sprayed hair – just grab your party shoes and get your tickets to one of the biggest shindigs this year. Join your favourite artists - from Nik Kershaw to Andy Bell to Jimmy Somerville - as they rework some of their biggest hits acoustically. This is the sound of the 80s, stripped back and pure fun; a once in a lifetime chance to spend time with the singers and the songs that have played such an integral part in creating the soundtrack of our lives.
